Spring Break

Christopher was on Spring Break the week following Easter and we got to do a lot of fun things. We went to the National Arboretum as the trees were just starting to bloom and had lunch in a little area of Magnolia Trees. We had a great time. Anna even seemed to enjoy finally being outside for most of the day. We also visited the National Building Museum and the Natural History Museum and got to see the live butterfly exhibit. Unfortunately my camera was full when we reached that exhibit. We had a great time and even took the Metro a couple of times which now I am feeling pretty accomplished with a system for taking all three kids! It was great to have some time to explore the city a little more and spend time together and with friends.

Fletcher's Cove

We finally had a few days of warmer weather, so when the weekend came, we went down to Fletcher's Cove which is between the Canal and the Potomac River. We had a BBQ and then took a rowboat out on the Canal. The weather decided to be a little cooler than we expected, but we still had a great time. Alex and myself were a bit comical trying to steer a rowboat, but we did get the hang of it eventually.
