We were so excited to have my dad come out and visit in mid-May. We did some typical touristy stuff and also just enjoyed each other's company. Below is at a visit to the American History Musuem. Mark has always loved trains.

I think grandpa likes them, too. My grandfather (my dad's dad) was also a big lover of trains and used to build his own cities and tracks to run through. It was a fun hobby for him and fun for us as kids to enjoy as well.

The entrance to the museum.

My dad and his girlfriend, Cindy, wanted to see the Lincoln Memorial, which I have been to a number of times. Anna and I sat at the bottom of the steps while she ran around.

One day we let Christopher play hookie from school (he was upset that he was missing out on all of the fun while my dad was here) and went up to Baltimore to Fort McHenry.

Anna felt like she was jailed in the stroller!

Cindy and Anna at the Baltimore Inner Harbor. It was a beautiful day and we really enjoyed it.

We went around to some various stops on the Harbor via water taxi. It is cheap and the kids think they have taken a cruise!

One last stop at the museums for my dad. This time it was the National Art Galleries. They really are beautiful and have some very nice pieces for those who are considering a visit to DC or who live here and have never been!

Saying goodbye. One last picture before heading to the airport. We had a great time visiting with Grandpa!
